I look forward to meeting you.
Hi. I’m Dominique Ma. I’m a psychologist who, since 2014, has worked clinically with people from many different walks of life. I work with youth, teenagers, young adults, adults, and the elderly, mainly supporting them with grief and loss, anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, emotional regulation, difficult or unexpected life-transitions, communication, and finding a healthy balance in one’s life.
In my Counselling and Spirituality Master’s Program, I was taught to consider the whole person in treatment. In this way, I am happy to incorporate a client’s values and spirituality into treatment, honouring their own cultural or faith background. If you are looking for a therapist with a shared faith background, I am of the Christian faith.
I incorporate many different therapeutic approaches into therapy, depending on the needs of the client. The main theoretical orientations I draw from include: Family Systems Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Logotherapy, Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Solution–Focused Brief Therapy.
Please note: I am presently able to schedule sessions exclusively on Saturdays, and all sessions will be offered online.
